When Hot Toys announced they were releasing a Red Skull figure based on the character in the Captain America: First Avenger movie, I was excited for a companion piece for my Captain America figure and immediately pre-ordered it. Just this past month, the figure finally arrived.
Standing at the usual 12" tall, the figure has a very striking resemblance to actor Hugo Weaving as Johann Schmidt aka the Red Skull. The specs and summary are as follows:
- Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Hugo Weaving as Red Skull (Johann Schmidt) in Captain America: The First Avenger
- Approximately 30cm tall
- TrueType body with over 30 points of articulation
- Movie-accurate facial expression with detailed wrinkles and skin texture
- Six (6) pieces of interchangeable gloved palms including:
- One (1) pair of relaxed palms
- One (1) pair of fists
- One (1) right palm for holding pistol
- One (1) right palm for holding the Tesseract (Cosmic Cube)
- Each piece of head sculpted is specially hand-painted
- One (1) hydra uniform including one (1) black leather-like trench coat, one (1) field-grey shirt and one (1) pair of field-grey pants
- One (1) pair of black boots
- One (1) pistol
- One (1) Tesseract (Cosmic Cube)
- Figure stand with Red Skull nameplate and the movie logo
